22 Multi-Million Companies Allegedly Linked to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua

An impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has brought to light the existence of 22 multi-million companies allegedly linked to him and his family.

The motion accuses Gachagua of using these companies to launder money and conceal the proceeds of corruption, contributing to an inexplicable rise in his wealth.

According to the allegations, Gachagua has amassed property valued at Ksh 5.2 billion over the past two years.

The motion claims that this wealth, primarily in the form of land and real estate, is inconsistent with his known legitimate income, raising concerns over the source of his fortune.

It further accuses him and his sons of establishing the companies to facilitate the movement of money obtained through illegal means.

The 22 companies listed in the motion include:

  1. Spirit Way Limited
  2. Fortis Vis Group Limited
  3. Grand Bypass Apartments Limited
  4. Kuruwitu Properties Limited
  5. The Anansi Collective
  6. Biovet Limited
  7. Calvary Creed International Limited
  8. Cosmere Venture Limited
  9. Crystal Kenya Limited
  10. Delta Merchants Limited
  11. Vipingo Beach Resort Limited
  12. Rigathi Gachagua Foundation
  13. Dorcas Rigathi Foundation
  14. Heartland Supplies Limited
  15. Karandi Farm Limited
  16. Morani Manufacturers Limited
  17. Mothers of the Land Limited
  18. Pioneer Medical Limited
  19. Ridor Furniture Mart Limited
  20. Royal Crimson Ventures Limited
  21. Technical Supplies and Services Limited
  22. Wamunyoro Investments Limited

The motion claims that Gachagua’s property portfolio is vast and includes investments in sectors such as real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, and medical supplies.

His financial dealings and rapid wealth accumulation have sparked debates about corruption within the country’s political elite.

As the impeachment process unfolds, it remains to be seen whether these allegations will lead to legal action or if they will remain part of the ongoing political discourse surrounding Kenya’s leadership.

Gachagua, however, has previously denied any wrongdoing, calling the claims politically motivated and baseless.
